I think you made the right decision, a great looking car with nice mods from a reputable seller. Plus, you just have to love Champion wheels, they could make a '72 Pinto look good.

Chris - I was planning on picking it up when I go out to SoCal late next week but decided to have it shipped so I wouldn't have to pay sales taxes. That said, its going to be hard to have it arrive here only for me to leave for San Diego (driving my 2002 C4S out to my dad) and then spending a few days at my place out there.

I appreciate all the kind thoughts and offers to help me on this purchase. I will definitely post pics when the car arrives!

Well, according to the dealer, if the car is purschased by and out of state buyer but not registered in CA or even driven off the lot, he doesn't have to charge me sales tax. He said the car is likely going on the trailer to me tomorrow (!!!) and I have already paid for the car. No tax. We'll see.

Here's a new pic:

You dont have sales tax in Arizona? In Florida you pay the Florida tax to be able to register it no matter where you buy the car.

You have to pay the sales tax when you go to the Arizona DMV to register the car. You won't get plates with out paying it.

You will pay the sales tax rate for Arizona.

No worries, I'm not trying to evade taxes. Thanks for the comments on the car, I can't wait to get it.
