i think that the newer version has a dry filter versus one that has been treated with oil. excessive oil in the treating of the filter is what causes the problems in the maf's.

The new version has provisions for the diffuser from the original box to be fitted.

I ran an EVO intake and didn't have any problems. It's not on the car now and if you want it I'll sell it to you for $350 shipped.
