Are you running K24's with a flash? Or do you want to? Also unless you are replacing failed DV's I don't think there will be any HP gain.

To give you an idea. I dynoed an upsolute X50 and it gave 443 at the wheels. Not bad for 700 bucks.

The car at the moment has k16's and new dv's along with a tune from UMW. My question is/was what type of power to expect with the K24's and a tune from UMW

Thanks

What are the UMW numbers without exhaust for the stock k16s? Anyone know how much to go with k16 hybrids from kevin?

TX, when I dynoed my wifes stock '02 on pump 92. Stock was 365HP and 410 ft lbs.. Flashing the car with "NO" mods other than Forge valves that were present with the baseline yielded 435HP and 495 ft lbs at the wheels.

Bobby C just dyno'd his K24's with the wastegate kit and went from 420 to 480HP.. Keep in mind he had a exhaust and intake mods also done.. On a stock engine with a stock exhaust you are going to dyno around 450 to 460 to the wheels.. Please keep in mind that I have dyno'd the RUF 550 package which has larger K24/hybrids with the Ruf Exhaust and intake. It laid down 482HP on my dyno.

K,

At what boost levels did you record the Ruf 550 @ 482 hp and were the front shafts unhooked or was
it all wheel hp?

There are some tuners that will allow 1.5 and greater boost...

The 590HP package will dial up the boost to reach it's numbers..

This is from my observations with the cars on my dyno..

So, then I guess my next question should be, is 1.5 bars considered moderate boost?

Sorry for the newbie questions....

Will tuning the wastegate help put down more power? What consist in doing this. I don't know of a tuner in Houston that I trust to do this yet.

Also what is the cost and benefit of your wastegate kit. What is the price range? Thanks Kevin. Loving the Stage 0 flash

You cannot put the wastegate kit on K16's.. Shaft speed is to high.. As these cars age, one can get away with turning the wastegate nut adjustment 1mm (which is one turn)..

Moderate boost is not 1.5 bars.. 1.5bars and higher is considered High boost on these engines..

I dont know what part of Houston you are located in, but my Indie is located
near 249/beltway 8 North if you are interested.

Thanks Kevin....I was figuring 1.5bars would be pretty high, but was not positive.
