Default Time Has Come...Need Upgrade Advice

Guys, I need your advice and help in upgrading my 2005 Turbo S.

In it's present condition it's purely stock other than:

- X73 suspension
- Europipe 2 Quiet

and car has 33k miles on the Odo, and the usual 444 hp.

I'm looking for at least 550 hp and power that kicks in early in the rpms. Durability and reliability is of utmost importance. Also looking to change the suspension to something less harsh than the X73 as this car will be for street use only (I now have a 997 GT3Rs for the track).

Any inputs on a complete packaged deal would be much appreciated. I'm in New Jersey.

Thanks...

Agree with this. Kevin has a couple of nice packages. Both Kevin and his products have a reputation for reliability.
I cannot compare between the two, but have JICs on my car and love the setup.

I guess pss9's might be good for that application.
Thought you were selling the TT?
Man, that's an expensive track toy.
I think Tim W is still looking for just such a car, pm him.

Chris, when I got the RS I did put the Turbo out for sale but then decided to keep it since it is one of my tru loves. Now I figure it's time to put some ooomph into it, perhaps some new shoes so as not to be left behind by the 997TT guys

Bobby: Arn't you concerned about voiding your factory warranty? I've only heard good things about Kevin. Also have you looked at evoms they have several performance packages as well.

Its good to see that some people really drive their cars. Good luck and keep us posted on what you do...

Bobby,

In addition to the above recommendations - another couple of options you may want to consider are:

1) Since you have an X50 - you can upgrade your existing turbos to the Protomotive K24/18G for about 1K. Finish with the PE700 package (including fuel pumps and injectors) and the car will fly. You have Protosport in NJ that does Protomotive conversions. I have put 6,000 miles on my Protomotive 700 so far this year and it starts instantly and runs strong every day. No reliability problems...it's been used as a daily driver with several long distance weekend trips...

2) The Speed Gallery in CA - They offer extremely competitive prices and they really know what they are doing. I almost bought the SG650 with T-28's and from what I understand - it rocks! My previous SG 575 was problem free and ran fantastic.

John, thanks for the info. I guess I'm going to get busy on this project soon...researching, talking with various vendors and then hopefully putting a whole package together.
