Question on Insurance (Specifically, GEICO)
#16
I have GEICO and live in the NYC metropolitan area. My insurance card says "911TURBO". I pay $1200 per year with $1 million in liability coverage and a $500 deductible. I think I told them I would drive the car less than 5000 miles per year.

I told State Farm that I only drive 10000 a year. I have 250/500 250. I have a $1000 deductible. Live in Houston, TX(aka The Swamp). I have a 1Million$ Umbrella and carry my homeowners policy with State Farm as well. I am a new member to State Farm. No accidents or tickets. My coverage is approximately $700 every 6 months for the car. I am 31. This all doesn't make much sense hearing the other coverages. Any tips!?! Not just for me, but the other poor saps paying to much as well.

I am embarrassed to say how much I am paying. California drivers get shafted.
I do know that since my wife has two tickets (drives a twin turbo V12 benz) she is the reason for the huge cost. We have AAA and pay $5000 per year with a $250 deductible (includes premium towing).

Wow, you guys have cheap insurance I live in New Jersey and we pay through the nose.
I pay $1,500 a year (All State) for an 02 C4S and it's not a daily driver, it's a third car. I have a 500 deduct on collision and 100 deduct on comprehensive.
I'm 37, married, own a house, and have a perfect driving record (knock on wood) no tickets or accidents ever in 20 years of driving.

Hey All
If you have a clear record drive under 7500 miles a year and have multiple policies with State Farm ie multiple cars, homeowners, umbrella and even life insurance you get whats called a multi-line discount. The more lines the better the discount. My six momth premium with $1k collision deductable with SF is $525 on my 04tt. Your liability limits and deductable amounts will impact your premium.
See your local SF agent we have very competive rates.

Erie Insurance reports my 03 tt as a GT2, nothing to worry about, I was told that both cars have the same risk rating thus get the same rates. I pay 763 a year between the wife and I with a 500 deductible which I consider to be quite fair.

When I bought the 996tt I was up in the air between it and a F355. Liberty Mutual wouldn't do a Ferrari. The 996tt is in a class where the agent needs to send the policy to their underwriting department for manual calculations. I don't know what that means, but I can no longer view my coverage on their website because of it.

Liberty mutual has some big discounts if you are an alumni of a decent college. My policy gets something like a 10 or 15 percent university of Wisconsin alumni discount. I only found out after a coworker told me. You should ask your agent.

Gieco and pay almost $3k a year for the TT and my 04 maxima. Love being 26 single homeowner with a couple tickets, not to mention living in Balitmore City. My rates went up dramatically from the C2 I had for a year. They classified it as a carrera T - judging by the rates they know the difference.
