Anyone have a decent representation via picture of this color? The ones the owner has look orange. Is it really that orange or is is more "red"

It is very easy to mistake for Orange in some photos, but it is definetly more "Red".

I think it looks awesome over basalt... but i would swap out the center console for black, to spice it up (or tone it down).

Total hearsay: I've heard that Boxster Red turns into "Boxster Pink" after a couple years of fading.

True?

I am not sure if it propper to talk about a "pink box" on the boards

That would be a concern of mine to.

i have it and love it. i have the deviated black carpet which tends to soften the look somewhat. i was getting tired of black and wanted a change. also have lots of carbon like above pic and it looks good, if i don't say so myself

Yes, I have full Cf package too. I agree that black carpets in that interior is the bomb, but I put in black mats to help.

As far as fading goes, my car was one of the first sold in the USA (Oct 2000) and the interior still looks F'in AWESOME. Hasn't faded at all.

Yes, photographs can be deceiving (my avatar for example where the carpet looks orange (too much light), but everyone comments how hot the interior looks.....better than boring all black.....Savannah looks hideous......why did Porsche select that weird *** gray color etc.......I've heard 'em all.

Here is an "outside" shot of my car where the color is visable in
a fairly true representation.....looks kinda funny though, as it is compressed.

I had it in my 99 c2 on black, and LOVED it (my brother called it murder red). Didnt fade at all, had some good accets with full leather, and the black mats broke it up a little.

I will tell you that it made resale tough though. Its a love it or hate it thing, it turned off a number of potential buyers.
