Exhausts.....I swore I would go EP2q or EP2L...then they raised the price again at europipe.be. Ug.

5085 (corrected from 5200 on 5/16/07) for the exhaust is a lot. I called around, and everyone says it is the best, but what if I need a non-droning exhaust that is good but may not be the "best"....what is out there. Steve at Imagine Auto and Kevin have been two with whom I have spoken. I'll just say this: the europipe is the best, no question. But, if I want to save money....what is out there that is good?

What are people thinking? My criteria are: no drone, no drone, lower restriction, not so loud as to make the radio useless, and no drone.

Have you considered a Ruf? Very nice exhaust note and no drone (build on OEM exhaust platform with Ruf modifications).
However, given the $ to Euro, I'm afraid all prices will be increasing...I'm guessing that is why EP raised their prices.

The new Fabspeed exhaust seems like a bargin then in comparison to those costs. I've heard it does not drone like previous generations of this exhaust, but, who knows for sure. It's sort of subjective. What you may think is loud or droning I may not and vis versa.

I'm working with a fabricator friend to clone this exhaust in 3" stainless:

I'm hunting the euro 100 cell cats, flanges, and lightweight stainless mufflers and he's hunting for tight radius bends, O2 bungs, and flex pipe. His TIG skills match any of the high end exhausts I've seen. We plan to use two mufflers per bank if there's room. If it doesn't sound right I'll sell it to somebody on 6-speed and buy the EP2L from Kevin.

$5,200 is way too much for any exhaust system. One would think they are made out of some mysterious material! It is just Stainless Steel! I would think that they could make more with a higher volume of sales if they corrected the pricing for the market. I would purchase for $2,000 - $2,500.

Fabspeed High flow Cats (100cell) with straight pipes to the stock tips... very loud, lots of drone...

Want to move to the new Fabspeed exhaust system... just to get rid of the drone and avoid issues with the home owners association... ...did I mentioned it is loud? Sweet... but loud...

I believe it is the GMG WC-GT system. The web site link to their TT/GT2 exhaust systems is broken, though.

I have techarts. Great sound and low drone. I do think they are getting louder and have more drone with age. Supersprints are the exact same product.

Go for a AWE - not too loud and very little drone
