So why are you selling it?

I would buy a 2002 or later CPO car and never look back! The car is awesome and can be modded to your individual taste. Heck of a car for the money they are going for right now.

I bought a black/black '03 with a little over 14k miles for $75 from a friend (who was the second owner and took delivery of a GT3). The car is awesome and I have no plans on selling...ever. I can't afford to take the depreciation hit of the new ones.

The range seems to be between 60k-80k for average to low mile cars with basic options. It can top out at 100k with near new milage and a heavy option list. Seems to also be a small price bump in 03 and later cars but that may be do to more standard features on the car. (Cobalt and Speed Yellow also seem to get a premium). Better to buy a CPO if you can find one at a reasonable price. Some colors

Around here yellow is a money Loser.....cobalt would be a slight bump. People want the "standard" colors. There was an 01 green on sale that wasn't moving, so that was a negative for that car too. Probably the color thing is very geographical in nature.
I have midnight blue and it has universally gotten praise....over silver, black, seal. But, I am partial and people just won't tell a P person to their face ...."nice car, lame color dude" at least in my circles, so my data is very biased.

I had a 996 coupe and traded it for a 996tt. Huge difference in power, and much more fun to drive. The handling is not quite as nimble as the NA car though---the tt needs a weight reduction.
Yeah, the TT prices are going down and so is your coupe. Just do it, you won't regret it!

I purchased an '01 in November for $65k w\19k miles and have not been disappointed by my decision. I bought the car for me and I paid cash...I could care less about how much it depreciates because that is the way of all cars.
Aside from having to clean your ride, I cannot understand why a person would spend the big$$ for a garage queen...perhaps if it was a prissy red Ferarri, but not a Porsche. Our cars are meant to be driven and driving in the rain only adds to one's appreciation for the prowess of the 996tt.
