Fair price for 04' X50 Twin turbo
Looking for some help. Could anyone tell me what would be a good price to offer on a Speed Yellow, 13000 miles X-50 Twin Turbo. No other major options. Being sold in the Chicago land region by private owner. Condition of car would be a 9 out of 10. A few small scratches on the body.
Thanks in advance..AL Z

75 seems a bit low to me for a retail sale (as opposed to trade in to dealership). I think more like mid 80s. Of course, if listed at 75 it would sell a lot quicker than if listed in mid 80s. Good luck.

check out www.mgmsl.com. They have been in the exotic car business for 25 years. No affiliation. I check out their inventory when i am in town to see if they have something I would be interested in. Their prices seem to be market competitive at least with dealers. They have a number of 2004 TT's posted between $90 and $100 .

I just bought a 03 X50 with a few options (nav, Supple/Htd, painted console, spec ext color) in excellent condition 20K miles for $79K. All the 04 X50's I've seen were high 80's to mid 90's retail. They tend to have OEM warranty left and lower miles which widens the gap. With a private owner comparing your offer to trade value, in Speed Yellow which is harder to sell, mid 80's maybe. With a private owner it depends on how attached they are to the car (if they have already moved on to a new toy). Good luck!

I would say low 80's only due to color. If it were silver, black, gray or white I would say $84-86K. I agree the '04s widen the gap due to over one full year of man. warranty left.

I test drove one before ordering a new one.
It was same miles, non x50, sport shifter, aftermarket exhaust, pccb...it sold a few days later for low $80s...I think it was $83K...this was in October 06.
Hope this helps.

There is no bad deal if you get it in the 80's. That is still at least 50 grand less than the guy who drove it 13,000 miles paid. If you like the car, and the dme readout is okay, buy it and stop worrying. Then drive the crap out of it. AS
