Default New TT for me finally

Well after 3 PPI on three different cars 2002 and 2001's I finally got one and got home today.

2001 TT
29000 Miles
Seal Grey
Grey interior

Interesting Drive from the MidWest to Vermont but went well

Made offers on three cars but this was the best one hopefully patience will of paid off.

Same year and color as the C4 I sold last month so no one in the neighborhood will be the wiser!

Already ordered:
-New tires
-Shortshifter
-Alum pedals...
-Alum Shifter
Got 3MClearbra yesterday. and it will hibernate for a while.

Still Shopping for Parking Break Lever.

Why does the car have yellow repeaters, aren't they supposed to be clear as standard, I've never seen yellow on a turbo before.

I think they are standard but for $45 everyone puts the clear ones... Haven't ordered those yet...Something else to add to the list.

Congrat's on the your new purchase. You're right, the yellow side-markers were standard. Can easily be changed to smoked or clear. I would probably go with smoke in your case considering the color of the car.

Cool, I guess it is a US thing as the TT's in the UK always have the smoked or clear ones, never yellow.

By the way, forgot to add in my previous post AWSOME LOOKING CAR!!!!!

GLH,
Who did your PPI in Chicago? Were you satisfied with them?

It still kills me to look at your car.....it could've been mine.

Talk to Gino it's a little pricey $375 but you get everything with an estimate to fix everything with part prices and time allocations. Plus the electronic readout with hours and stage 1 & 2 over revs and so forth..

Yellow are standard in the US (USDOT requirement), clear i ROW. There is not a clear and a smoked...it is just called clear thought they do look smoked.

Oh yeah nice looking ride!

Right on... but they do have a smoked and a "silver" (looks clear) option third brake light. Don't know why smoked turn signals aren't offered to match. Guess my turn signals are clear. Check out www.carnewal.com for lights and options.

Oh yeah... Go GATORS!!

Congrats !! I got my clear side markers from my dealer. They changed them while I waited.

Good luck with your ride.

glh,
Congrats on the car, your interior is very similar to mine, very nice color combo. Where did you get the 3M clear bra? Did the dealer install or did you?
