996 TT vs 997 S

Rennlist is just the best ! I sold my targa and contemplating replacing it with a 996tt.
It seems an ideal complement to the special occasions 964 turbo. Just doing the due
Diligence and checking out alternatives. Keep coming back to the 996 as the best bang
For my bucks. And as said , its a legend to boot .

So I'll bump this old thread as well. I came back to the Porsche lineup and recently bought a pristine '02 996 TT. My friend has owned several 911's and I have driven them all. We would go to the dealer that I bought my car from over the years to drive all type of Porsches. A benefit my friend gets for buying 6 cars from this dealer. Anyhow, a while back we drove a 996TT. I decided years ago that this car would be, for me, the best bang for the buck. Didn't think it would happen until it did. The **** eatin' grin will never leave my face! Nice to know that I own a supercar but more importantly it was my dream car and just fun to drive. I'm not a track guy and love the short bursts of acceleration to feed my need for speed. The car is great to just drive in a normal way as well. Get a turbo. Best bang for the buck right now I feel. Just my .02 nothing more.
