Some years ago, I had a TPC Supercharger installed at a shop outside of Chicago. Driving back to Virginia going through Indiana on route 80 early am, I got my 1996 993 speedometer pegged at 180 with 1000 rpm below redline! The car was solid with no handling issues. The Supercharger 'boosted' my fun factor with this car Big Time!!!!!

At 185 the car will had some very fast micro vibration where it feels like a "light but fast paced bouncing from left to right" but stable at the same time. Suspension damping is adequate with stock suspension. Road was not the best (HWY) but no cars were passed or seen in the horizon (front or back). Safely rail on both sides too. That was with 14 year old Michelin in the back and 10 yr old in the front and open road course in Mexico with top up. Top down is fun too and it feels like a vacuum at 165.

YES.

Recipe on tires....

No dry rot - No Cracks = Like in good condition tires

As of today... rear tires have been replace (only due to wear on the inside) and front tires due to age (2010).

Are these the same 10 year old front tires you did 185 on?

That Sir, takes some serious ***** with 14 y/o tires - you are fortunate that you did not have a de lamination.

After the run the rear tires where wore on the inside so I put new Pirellis all around. I got the car back from the alignment shop and is looking good. I can't wait to take it for a late run again. We will see how the Ps will do but so far the "old" Michelin did quite well.
