OK here is the 64k question. My car trapped 127.6 on KPG's racelogic. Kevin indicated that it is very accurate. If my car weighed 3400 or so pounds (give or take 10 or 20 pounds), what is the hp at the crank? Here is a European tuned 600 bhp turbo that weighs the same as my car and ran 0-60 in 3.9, 0-100 in 8.0 and 0-125 in 12.0. My car ran 0-125 in 11.6. Here is the article, it's the one dated 9/1999.

This is where the 60-130mph test is invaluable, this is a great indicator - your times with the 1 shift put you right where you should be in the ~520 Porsche hp bracket.
Here is a question, what hp does a 2WD 993tt running at 1485kg in 55DegF have if it manages a 2 gearchange (stock gearbox) 60-130mph in 6.9s ?

Sorry 9Eleven, but TTP is one of the least respected tuners in Germany and his hp ratings are known to be very inflated. The 600hp 993tt from ttp has about 520hp.
It is 4wd so you can not compare the engine hp to your 2wd. (See Kevins 4wd car)
Here www.einszweidrei.de/porsche/rst993t1997-1.htm you can see a similar car from RS-tuning with 533hp. It makes 0-200kph in 10.7s and is 1.7s!!! faster than the 600hp ttp car. (yes it has huge aerodynamic advantages, but still 1.7s with 70hp less is a lot)

I'm just doing it for the sake of discussion and knowledge. How do we really determine a cars actual hp? How do we measure it? How can we use this when we modify our cars to determine any gain? That's what my goal is and has always been. It's not about me or my car. I'm looking for answers.
Next study the 100-200kph or 60-130mph numbers for these cars taking into account 2WD/4WD, weight, temperature, number of gearshifts.
Look at enough of the verified data and it becomes quite easy to make a very close estimate of the Porsche hp rating.
If you car does 60-130mph with two changes in 8.8s weighing 1550kg/3400lbs and mine does it in 6.9s weighing 1485kg/3274lbs then if your car has 550hp, just how much more do you think my car has to shave nearly 2 seconds off the sprint ?
