GT3 seats have been on my list for awhile:

Does Recaro make the GT3 seats for Porsche?

Do the factory seats say Recaro on the back of them?

Is there a lower quality and a higher quality?

I have seen some with carbon fiber backs and some with
painted backs??

any help would be appreciated.

There may be replicas available...not sure....there are certainly many options in terms of backs, color, etc.

You need them Marty!!!!! I started with the stock units and had the backs painted and the seat inserts were a gift.

 

like most of the cf stuff from porsche the cf GT3 seat that I have seen are the faux veneer wrapped version around the standard fiberglass ones. atleast the ones I saw, I'm sure the weight is more than the standard fg version.

 

Love my GT3 seats...The car, and the driving experience are 100% better....best upgrade period for any 996. I am big too...big back from weight lifting, and I still fit!

 

Does anyone know how the carbon fiber/leather GT3 seats on Ebay are? Quality, strength, etc?

They are inexpensive and look great in pictures. I have been tempted to order a set, but I am concerned they may not be safe in an accident - so I have held off. They are not crash rated.
