Default Dyno Numbers Are In : A Lesson In Power Under The Curve

Well, first the bad news. No RWD numbers. The car lit up like a Christmas tree with PSM/ABS/CEL. It did not like RWD. I had my laptop and cleared codes , but no luck. So we strapped it down in AWD and let 'er rip... and rip it did. the AWHP numbers were 510.8HP and AWTQ was 565.4TQ. Pretty strong torque curve... guess that explains the 128+ trap. Using EVO's loss factor of 18.5% for an AWD run the FWHP is 627HP and 694TQ. Kevin's programming is phenomenal. HP is great but the useable TQ tells the tale. I have posted the run log as well in 100rpm increments.Flywheel TQ at 3K RPM is 465 and at 3500RPM it is 584.The dyno tech also put in a thermocouple in the IC inlet to measure the heat Delta. 67deg to start 180 degrees 10 sec later. I held my hand over the inlet and it felt like a hairdryer. This was my street 1.25+ bar file with 4 gal of GT104 unleaded. The scary part of this whole day is the knowledge that Kevin, as we speak, is uploading my 1/4 mile, 100 octane file that can only be used 1320ft at a time- no street, no roadcourse... just the 1/4 mile into my Pocket Programmer. The results speak for themselves. Kevin

It is a thing of beauty that it comes in so hard and strong early and IS NOT peaky!!!

very nice, I bet it feels nice "underfoot"

congrats on what looks like a perfect union of turbos AND programming!

Unfortunately I know enough about looking at the curves to know very little. I was wondering what happens at 4500 rpm , but in general they look fairly smooth. The torque curve looks fantastic. Maybe I should talk to this Kevin guy?

Congrats Kevin

Wow, those are some impressive numbers! How much do you think the hybrid turbos add alone without the headers and LWFW?

The headers are part of the kit.... Your dual mass flywheel will not get along with that TQ curve Kevin

Good numbers...my previous guess of ~570 fwhp was low.

Bill I misread your question. At 4500 the Frequency valve has a hard time controlling the boost and has to play catchup, hence the up and down. I am sure Kevin will explain it better. I thought it was a problem, he doesnt agree. Kevin

Dock, we were both wrong.... actually I was wrong on HP( guessed too high) and TQ( guessed too low). Kevin

For comparison, the only EVO stage 4 dyno I have shows your program and the EVO program are close in average torque...yours having better low end average and the EVO having better high end average. Just looking at markers each 500 rpm starting at 2500-6500, the two dynos show the average is within about 8 lb-ft of each other.

You REALLY believe you have 943NM of torque (ie 68% more than stock Porsche numbers) at the flywheel ?

Of course I do. I told the dyno tech I wanted 950 ... Kevin said 1000, but I didnt want to be obvious Kevin

There is no doubting that these rollers enjoyed their workout
