Default Yoko AD07 Neova's Out of Round !! "Tire Rack" Problems ?

I put these Advan Sport AD07's on about 5 months ago.

Recently I felt what seemed to be an out of balance wheel on the rear. So I took both rears to have them rebalanced and saw that they were both out of round by a mm or 2 mm across the whole face. The wheels look fine ( < 1mm O of R). This held with what I had experienced with them from new, which was as I inturpreted it, flat spots when cold.....that went away after they warmed up. I now believe they were O of R from new and just making themselves worse with use.

So I called the Tire Rack for help.....they said get tread depth measured......I did, (7 to 8/32's all over). "If less than 2/32's wear, then they could give me new tires without pro-rating them.....fair enough".

Now T'rack say to me " oh, with uneven tread wear, you'll have to buy a new pair, return the others at my expense, then they will inspect them and decide what if any credit to offer". Is that a sack or what ????

I can't believe these tires had more than 8/32's new, and of course the tread depth is un even........first they are out of round, 2nd....it's a turbo that always wers the inner edges first, and 3rd.....how close can one measure what was never exactly uniform tread depth in the first place? 7-1/2 32s +/- 1/64" is pretty darned even to me.

HELP:
Anybody have a good contact at the Tire Rack that I can call??

Any body have any similar experience w/ Tire Rack?

My choices are to a) play along and hope not to get burned by TR or b) have these tires trued (shaved round) and terminate my long relationship w/ TRack.

Thanks. MK19

A local Yokohama dealer can do warranty adjustments.

why did you wait for 5 months to take care of this if you were experiencing tires out of balance? Out of round could be caused from many types of conditions. Uneven tire wear can be caused from drivers error or mechanical misalignments. All it takes is to flat spot the tires once.

Frankly, 5 months is nearly half a year to take care of this problem, I doubt they would replace the tires at no cost. Yoks have pretty good quality controls this is the first time I have heard someone claiming Yoks tires of being out of round.
