Transmission "sticking" in reverse
I have about 2,500 miles on my '02 TT and the car has had no problems. However, lately, when I put the car in reverse, the stick doesn't want to come out of reverse and I have to pull it (the stick) hard to get it into another gear.
I don't like having to force my car out of gear!
Has anyone else has had this problem before?

I have also had the problem, most often after driving pretty hard and then stopping for a short period (ATM or grocery run). It sticks when trying to pull out of the parking spot.
I will have it looked at at my 15K service and let you know.

Only other problems to date are whistling open sunroof ( at inappropriate velocities), an intermittent fuel sender failure at reserve fuel levels and an out of balance aux. fan that creates a resonance in the cabin after shutdown.
All will be fixed at the service

Hey Oak, Are you the same Oak as on the BMWM5.COM board?
I checked the Pentosin resovoir and it's in the upper part of the "cold - hot" band after driving.
I think it some sort of thermal binding of the shifter fork slide.
