Anyone else received a Porsche recall on MY01 TT's regarding emissions, specifically the gas cap replacement?

I just received mine today (seems a bit late).

They mention that failure to replace the gas cap will lead to check engine lights, failures to pass emissions, etc..
The recall merely replaces the gas cap with a new one with better seals.
Here in MA, they remove your gas cap and check its seal; my car and gas cap both passed.

Strange how the recall states it is only for the TT gas cap.
I would have thought the TT and std 996 use the same gas cap.

I am in SE MA, about 60 miles from Boston, on the RI border.
This puts me about the same distance (~50 miles)from any local Porsche dealer!

I also did find out that the recall is for all Porsche cars (986, 996 and 996TT) from 99-02.

I got the same recall for my 2001 996 C4, which is allready sold. The recall states that it is for all 1999 - 2002 Carrera (996).
