For further validation, I want to see this car's top speed.
The skeptisms just never end does it.

Top speed should be the exact same as factory (189) unless it has higher
than std redline.

Kevin,
You have a very valid point!
Your package seems very strong (especially!!! when factoring the $$$).
The other tuner that really shines in this area is Protomotive.

Marty the car is Speed regulated vs RPM Redline regulated..

The speed can be bumped to 200 or ??

The RPM can also be massaged a "little"

Kevin (s)

I stand corrected,
I thought top speed was limited by RPM (redline) in top gear.
Are you saying you could raise the top speed by raising the redline only in top gear?
In other words rev limiter would kick in at normal (6800) in first five gears and then
open up in top gear?

Your programming is speed limited? The stock Turbo is advertised as being redline limited in terms of top speed.

If someone want's to go 205MPH I can raise the speed limiter.. The Rev Limit can also be raised to modest levels.. Now whether or not the car will pull to 205 MPH is another story. I haven't tried it..

I have larger hybrids. Stage 3 is the next progression. A Stage 3 we need to add a fueling kit. Larger inlet piping to the turbochargers and some MAF mods.. Stepping up to a genuine 70mm exhaust is also recommended.

Stummel, finally a joint venture between Ultimate Motorwerks and RS Tuning.

I agree with Kevin when it comes to bang for the buck. This is certainly a great value package, moreover when it comes to the decent boost levels when compared to other kits we see out there. I am not sure about the HP claims that I see thrown around left and right on all these 996TT kits but it is not the point here, and KPG I would not post a dyno sheet unless it is from a properly loaded dyno run on a MAHA as mentioned earlier by TB, or the resulting HP debate will ruin this great thread.

The quartermile times are so misleading about "HP" that they are not even worth mentioning.

Load at higher speeds is certainly a key issue. A 60-130 is a great measure for sure, and a practical one especially that many of us can probably do.

Consider this however, a CGT takes 10.7 seconds to do the first 124mph, and 23.5 seconds to do the next 60mph, this is where high boosting engines will die.

My all time favorite article was ROAD & TRACK's
"ultimate accereration test: Flat Out for one full mile! (Sept 2005)
RUF R Turbo 3325 lbs, all wheel drive (loaded with luggage and driven to test)
0-1mile == 28.6 seconds (speed @ 1 mile 180.2 mph)
0-150 mph 16.6 seconds (new SRT-10 Dodge Viper == 24.1 seconds)
Now I know that people get tired of the "RUF drum" beating all the time but this is flat out
f****g impressive. I believe this kit is called the "590 Nardo" and can be Purchased.

Jean, I agree about the 1/4 times and their relation to hp, A single 1/4 time or trap, in isolation, is relatively meaningless. To say they are not worth mentioning at all is incorrect. I made a point of capturing many data points. The 128+ mph trap speed is good data to corroborate the other numbers. Nothing more, or less. It will look good on the drag standing at 6speed though! Toby... relax, just kidding Kevin
