colours for gt2
I'm acquiring another gt2. my first was seal. i'm looking at a yellow [new 02, cheap], a seal [near new 8K more], a silver, a black [new 02, 16k more]. Advice?
Porsche seems to have gone yellow with the gt3 intro... so maybe a gt2 in yellow would work, i ordered my gt3 in white.

Yellow is definitely one of those "love it or hate it" colors. I happen to love yellow cars, but there are more out there who don't find that color to be their preference -- I agree with TTRob, your resale audience (whether dealer or private)will be reduced.

Stick with what works... Seal gray.
Black and silver are way too common.
I don't think yellow will ever make you happy. Unless you want to look like a gigantic bumblebee flying up and down the canyon. Plus, resale will suck.
Yellow only works for loud designs like the Ferrari or the Lambos.

Ahhh yes... but Ferrari yellow (wasn't it called fly yellow?) is nicer than Porsche's speed yellow.
Yellow still looks better on a 360 or Murci than a 911...
Yellow looks good on that 993TT, but I dunno... I guess it's just not my color. I still like Arena Red on the 993TT, must be all those posters I used to look at.
Then again, I tend to gravitate towards blue. Like Lapis or Midnight for the GT3. Not sure how this will look in person though.
Hey Jack, we all need to get together again for a sat. coffee meet.

Arena Red 993TT poster -- "Kills bugs fast." -- one of my favorites.
Your choices of blue will look great on a GT3.
Let's get Dean and Watt out there for a weekend coffee meeting.

Go with yellow. The yellow one a Carlsen was originally at Walnut Creek (I think). I love that car. It was the first GT2 I ever saw.
Dad went with black, but I would have gone yellow. The black accents on the bumper (especially the slats that the TT doesnt have) really stand out with a lighter color.

But to answer the post:
It depends, if you're buying it for yourself, any color you chose.
If you're buying it for resale, then play the percentages and go for silver.
I think I could live with the fly yellow longer than the speed yellow.
