Thread revival... lol

Thanks for the info; looking at a possible 911 Turbo for first exotic. I'm finally selling my 500hp 450tq AWD evo, and I don't really want something that much slower. Granted for my first exotic it likely will be. If I do go porsche it will likely be a 997 turbo, then get exhaust and tune. Anyway, thanks for the info rennlist forum!!

Chris, I was after a 2008 Cab tip and I was heartbroken when I missed on the deal. Three days later a 2004 midnight blue came for sale within 30 miles from me. Being that I heard a lot of complaints on the "fried egg headlights", I went to just "drive by" the car with the strong idea of not even getting out. It was love first sight. Within 5 minutes I was driving the car and I bought it two days later. I continued lurking around the 997 sites and found that the 996TT are more reliable and a slightly simpler design than the 997TT. I still think the 997TT are terrific cars but every car (996 or 997, one year vs another, mileage, maintenance, etc) has its ups and downs. I will be getting a 997TT one day or just skip and get a 991.1 or 991.2.

With a thread posting date of 10-30-2001 this might be a new record for an old thread revival. And you're likely not even getting a 996 Turbo.2001

+1 it took me a minute to understand what I was reading - I thought 'Why would Porsche bring that out now...?'

Then, 'Date'...

I remember Viken in 2001. He was very active and a great contributor on this forum. We interacted a lot back then, along with Jack LA. IIRC, he went to a F360 a couple of years later....
