Post Wild Orange 996 Turbo in Westchester NY

I was coming out of the parking lot of Neiman Marcus on Saturday and saw what looked like a yellow 996, as soon as it pulled out is was a crazy orange color with matching calipers and two tone interior, very wild and different. Anyone on the board ever see this one?
Some very daring Porsche owenrs out theire!

Hey I saw this car yesterday on the Hutchinson River Pkwy!
He was a few cars behind, and I was hoping to play with him, but he went in a different direction. All I could see was that it was a TT not a GT2.
Sick looking car, and color!
I would paint my old 964 that color in a heart beat!!!

Cheers,

Greg

Default Just moved from Westchester

....well, actually 6 mos ago...just got a 993tt and trying to figure out where I can really drive the thing up here...I live in Cambridge, MA now...any suggestions?

I miss the Bronx River, Saw Mill, Merritt and that great road around the reservoir from White Plains to Armonk. Where do you guys drive down there? Do you know Cici at Rennwerke?

Thanks!

Yeah this is my turf. Can't be sure of this but it seems the Saw Mill has the least risk if you know what I mean. It's my favorite but is kind of beat up. Bronx River is great but too many lights and it's well-patrolled. Lots of traffic on the Merritt and seems it requires higher speed to catch the wider curves.

I usually limit my exploits to NJ because I got stopped there once for speeding and received a ticket they give to out-of-staters that carries NO POINTS... IIRC it was 76 bucks. Am wondering if Connecticut has the same deal but I heard they're tough.

Anyway, I reeled in my driving considerably after a scare on the Saw Mill. I did a spirited weave when a black Ford Explorer came upon me with flashing lights and a chirp from his siren. He never pulled me over, just put a scare in me. He probably could have gotten me on a least 3 counts. Must have been a detective with some place to go and didn't want to get sidetracked. Been meaning to get to DE and the track but have been too busy and lazy. Anyway, it's not enough to lookout for unmarked Impalas and Crown Victorias. Throw the American SUVs in here. I even saw a guy get ticketed once by an unmarked DeVille.

Yeah, I ran into Cheech at Rennworke but as relative newbie I have no knowledge of the quality of their work. Do you? Anybody? Seems like a helluva nice guy.

Will keep an eye out for the orange turbo. Luv the orange Lambo.

connecitcut is the best place to speed, you can use 4 hours of traffic school to get rid of a ticket completely, and you can do it as many times as you want.

meaning, get a ticket, do traffic school and it goes away. repeat.

Merrit Parkway being my favorite. Summer drive in the morning at a faster pace. You will see no cops on a Saturday morning. Very curvy road.

If you get a ticket, then go to step 1 (the school).

I always enjoy driving there. BTW cops there hate Porsches.

Take it to the track. Statements like best places to speed really aren't good. Besides, track days are fun

Moogle, I guess if you believe in jinxes that was as jinx as it gets. Sorry to hear about it. At least the school beats carrying the weight of that thing for 3 years on the record.

If its the same car I'm thinking of, it's a Tip and I saw it @ the Manheim auction about 3 years ago.
