For ECU: I would highly recommend GIAC (Garrett)
I think their programs far surpass the others out there. In the past, I have tried a Gemballa ECU, Unichip, and I won't even touch Upsolute or Autothority. So this is coming from personal experience.

For Exhaust: I would use Cargraphic or Europipe. I prefer the Cargraphic, because the Europipe Loud is still too quiet (for me), and the better sound (from the Cargraphic) is worth the 3-4 less horsepower. I would stay away from Fabspeed, B&B, and the other "homemade" performance exhaust. To me, RUF is too expensive for too quiet. I want to hear my turbos!!!

Also think about swapping out the turbos for larger K24's, or even go for some trick k16/k24 hybrid turbos for that extra kick...!

Good luck!

Chris, no worries... talk to Wilber about his latest ECU project with PowerChip. He will get you taken care of.

AWD, GIAC's stuff is ok, even better if Garrett Lin himself actually tuned your car. Unfortunately, he's too busy and making too much money to do this.

Since you are in SoCal, I would encourage you to try PowerChip. Their programming is IMHO better than virtually anyone else except for the truly custom programming that Protomotive provides. They even offer an optional warranty for a very reasonable price.

They will optimize your powercurve for local customers on a dyno. You need to get in touch with Wilber about this, as he is working on a very nice and cost-effective K24 upgrade program.

TrojanMan, I'm glad you like your Upsolute. Unfortunately, this has not been the experience of my friends who have installed it. You should also try out PowerChip, I think you will like what it will do to your car!!!

Tyson - When ? You know I'm up for some brisk mountain road driving.

When was the last time that the SoCal crew ventured down to Palomar Mountain?

We will be doing a Malibu run on the 26th. Mark your calendar, and bring both cars out again!!! I will also convince the CEO and operations manager of PowerChip to come out so you can ask them about their programming.

Hamann...

Yeah...ask the Powerchips guy if he'd come down on the 26th...That'll be great! I just read their ad in Excellence Magazine. Looks like a great product!

I'll be there on the 26th! Count me in!

Also you are close to Evolution Motorsports in Phoenix. Take a look at some of the packages that they have in www.evoms.com
