Post National Rennlist Porsche Gathering

Is anyone working on a national "Rennlist" Porsche Gathering? I know about the parade but that is not what I am interested in. I would like to meet and see all the cars that belong to the people on this turbo mailing list.

We started something like this with an NSX mailing list and would move it around each year to be able to get more people to come. One year on the East Coast, one year on the West Coast, one year in the Midwest.

Is anyone interested in doing this?

Sounds fun to me. I wouldn't want to drive too far to get there. But, some place centrally located just might do the trick. Or, alternating between East and West each year would also probably work.

Actually - I get asked this quite a bit.. My answer is usually the same "If I can figure out how to organize, plan and make it happen - it would be terrific!". In all honesty, it would take a grass-roots effort to assist with the logistics, but Jen and I are certainly open to your suggestions, input and comments....

As well, the thread that Adial mentions is a good start. Right now, we have about 40-50 cars (or so I'm told)..??!! Also - I spoke to the local Porsche Dealer - and we may be able to surprise all the attendees with something really special. More on that in a bit, though.... <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="wink.gif" />

On a national level, probably the best thing would be to tie it into an event like the Rennsport Reunion that was at Lime Rock a couple of summers ago.

On a regional level, people seem to be much more inclined to group together by car-I've traveled to Hershey a couple of times to visit with the 968 guys-we had about 60 cars in April-but I don't think I'd drive too far to a general meeting unless there was some track activity included.
