9ff Wing installed with Pics
Hi everyone. I am very happy to provide everyone with pictures of the 9ff wing on my car. Here are the details.
Bought from Frederic Ballot at Megatrongtuning in Arizona.
megatrontuningus@yahoo.com
Price of wing: $1680
Price to paint/install: $375 by my body shop in Palo Alto
Bottom line is that I am very happy. I get the GT2 look for
a 1/3 of the price and get to keep all functionality of the
old wing. (wing goes up or down as before)
Sorry about the big pics, no sofware to reduce right now

I finally solved the $100k question. In August 2002, just before I took delivery of my X50, I confirmed that "TTX50" was available as a custom license plate in California. A couple of weeks later, I took delivery of my car and applied for a custom plate. Much to my disappointment, the DMV advised that someone had slipped in during the intervening two weeks and selected "TTX50" as their custom plate. Thus, I had to make due with "X50TT."
The plate looks great Fred, as does the wing.

Hey Craig, wow, too funny. Sorry I took your plate. I guess you deserved it first since you got your car first, but like they say 1st come first serve. I actually have a new plate coming in GIACX50 . I will have that one for Gumball as GIAC is giving me free software.
I love your car by the way and look forward to meeting all you Porsche guys in So Cal.
take care,
Fred

thanks for the info, looks great!one question i have is that when the spoiler is fully retracted does it sit flush like the factory spoiler or that it is impossible to sit flush as the end tips will be touching the body?

Hey Fred,
The wing looks great! A question ... Since it can't sit flush like the stock wing does, do they mount it with some sort of extention so that it doesn't contact the body when in the lowered position?
