If you are talking talking about modified cars, let's talk modified bikes. How about a turbo Hayabusa! 350 hp, 600 lbs, and $16,000.

Cool

Bike are not ALL THAT. I used to race a lot of them with my truck... yes, truck. I could beat most 600's in an 1/8 mi street race, but not the 900's and 1100's. The 'truck' was a 402 hp at the rear wheels short bed reg cab dodge dakota. ran 12's in the 1/4 mile. The difference here is that the TT is not designed to drag race. Gearing is too high, particularly in the 996s. The 993 TT and TTS are better drag racers. My 2 cents. <img src="graemlins/burnout.gif" border="0" alt="[burnout]" />

Nice to see someone from back home. When i was in Ann Arbor, i was following this 900RR on 14 after the 23. Since u are from grand rapids, u know how terrible the roads are in michigan. Anyway, the bike is flipping up little stones on my hood and glass, so i decide to pass him doing a buck 20, and slowed down side by side. He nodes and takes off. Of course i cant catch him, but all of a sudden there was construction ahead and the 2 lane became one lane. We both had to slow from 140+ to 50. I was so damn surprised by how hard and fast that bike can brake, i almost flew over he's back and captivate his head. I locked up my brakes and just pray i dont kill him. Luckily i swerved to miss him and almost hit some orange cones. I knew how fast these things can go, but i was more shocked with how fast they can stop!!! I guess 300ibds is easy to bring down.

No argument that most modern sportbikes are very quick and stop equally as well. Most bikes will do 10s (900cc) or 11s (600cc) with some being able to beak into the 9s. However, these are professional riders on a dragstrip. After racing motorcycles for a number of years, I've yet to see an average rider be able to equal those numbers on the street. I can tell you from personal experience that my modified 930 will out accelerate a Yamaha R6 (600cc) sportbike from 40mph on, however, I would not attempt to race one from a stop because I don't abuse my car that way.
