Cool UniChip Questions

Can anyone tell me if the UniChip upgrade includes real time data logging and laptop programming of the parameters on the fly - the historical info on the topic says no - if this is the case is there a chip out there that can provide this functionality??? Ciao. T2

It is programmed with a laptop while the car is producing power on a dyno. The dyno is reading HP and the laptop is used to 'tweak' the power output of the engine by modifying the fuel map and timing.

If you attempted to program the Unichip on your own by trying to peak the HP without using the dyno and not knowing what you are doing, you could easily get the engine to detonate and eventually destroy it.

I’ve seen Tony (at the Racer's Group) program the Unichip, and he’s very careful with the settings.

Rick,

You've read my mind - I just want the ability to test and tune on a dyno on the fly as mods get added and deleted...Thanks for the 411. Ciao. T2
