Default NEWBIE shopping for a 01 996TT need advice...

Hi Guys,

I hope I can purchase one soon, and hopefully to join you guys and play in the sand box with you all...

I'm on the market for a 01 996 preferably under 20K miles around $65K, but I ran across these couple cars, and I was wondering if you guys could give me some insights.

Thanks...

-Ryan

must drive it, watch for popping out of second gear,
have a good unbiased Porsche Mechanic look it over,
get the car you want in the color you want (dont compromise),
with a reprogrammed ECU and suspension changes you have an
instant SuperCar !!!
You will love it,
it will cost you alot more than you think (to "maintain/MODIFY")
You will love it,
good luck,
post any othe questions after you join Rennlist and pay the appropriate fees,

I know it's obvious but check autotrader regularly. I was looking and looking -- and then my dream car showed up for sale, 2 miles from my office. A clean PPI and I was good to go. TT prices are softish right now, too, so it's a great time to be looking.

Thanks for the input guys...

I definetly would want to get a PPI and possibly a leakdown test. (of course replace the plugs with new ones while at it). Do you guys know of any good porsche shops that will do a good job? Or reffer me to?

I'm looking mainly in places in Nothern California, and Southern California.

Thanks for the help.

Thanks for the feedback, I'll definetly give Mike a call for the PPI.

I'm also looking into another vehicle, but it's located in Colorado Springs, does anyone can reffer me to a good shop for PPI around that area?

Thanks

Ryan, I can do better! I believe the car in CoS that you're referring to is mine. If you're still interested call me (phone no. is on the ad) and we can discuss it. Thanks!

Hey Raj,

So that is your Seal Grey TT huh ? As you can see I'm seeking for an Artic Silver one, but your car attracted my attention due to the lower miles. I'm currently on a short trip in Tokyo, I'll be back Monday. I'll give you a call then... Or you can Email me at: rkao@merunetworks.com
