Does anyone know where the ECU is located on the 996 TT??
I think it might be under the driver side seat but am not toosure.
A simple walk through of removal would also help (eg. do I disconnect battery first or not, etc...).
thanx,

Fold your reat seats down and peel back the carpet (if you don't have the BOSE sub woofer) and you'll see a couple of metal panels. The ECU is underneath the one behind the passenger side. Just remove the screw in the middle and lift it up and you'll see it....

You will have to remove the Bose 'subwoofer' (more accurately referred to as a tuned port bass enclosure by Bose) in order to gain access/removal of your ECU.
If you do a search, there was a previous post regarding some details on this.

Check out this link. It's a great FAQ that PorschePHD did.

But it's the same procedure you just have to pull off your sub and then do the same thing. I didn't disconnect my battery... can't see why you would need to.
Good luck.
