TKerrMD:
Why, thank you doctor, yours is pretty damn attractive too. I love the Speed Yellow TT. As to your question, I don't know yet, but will find out next month. We have a group going to Hallett Racing Circuit near Tulsa, OK Sept. 16th. Hallett is a 1.8 mile 10 turn track with 80 feet of elevation change. Rated technically difficult. www.hallettracing.com I was at Hallett last April with my 986 Boxster and wished desperately that I had my 996SC, but the 996 was still at GMG Racing getting prepared. I can't wait to get it on the track.
A Black 996TT and a Mexico Blue 997S (which also has an EVOMS S/C kit too) are scheduled to be there with us and I'll find out then. Hopefully, one of the guys will bring a GT3 and we can compare a 996TT, GT3, 996SC & 997SSC. If nothing else, it will make a hell of picture going through the twisties. BTW, there will also be a 2006 Corvette Z06 with racing slicks present. Thankfully the front stretch isn't too long, nevertheless I've still got my $ on the 997SSC down the front stretch, as it is wickedly fast.
I'll post pics when I get back. In the meantime, here's one of my trip in the Boxster. I experimented a great deal and had to really work my *** off to get the darn thing to actually spin. The Boxster is incredibly neutral and underpowered by 50-75 hp., but stops like a champ with the Pagid pads.
