Will we have to hijack some 996 Turbo people (especially the enthusiast variety) & bring em here for some participation, pics and info?

I don't think we have to go too far. One post at Blaise's http://996tt.com/cgi/board/mainboard.pl?index will bring the crowd over.

DJ is right. However, I can't see how William will be able to keep both a 996 and a 993. Unless, of course, he turns the 993 into a race car.

I am fortunate to have a brother that works for Skip Barber Racing School. I am working on scheduling a 9 day "zero to hero" program. After that, I will deffinatly be in the market for a track car.
Maybe a retired 996 supercup?
With Gert & Viken's help, the 993 is wearing a new Porsche RS body kit. The suspention is about half way there and I am planning on converting to 3.8 ltrs this fall.

What about sending us some pictures?
I would like to see how that RS Aerokit looks on your car

Hey, just for giggles, and since we had another necro-thread revived for no apparent reason, I thought I'd post to what appears to be the first-ever thread in the 996TT forum.
FWIW, I did a quick search, and the earliest thread here on RL appears to be in the 924/944 et al. forum posted just one day earlier on 5/29/2001. Although my search wasn't really exhaustive, so someone else may find an earlier thread elsewhere.
Frankly, I am a little surprised that the 996TT board was apparently active from the get-go considering the first of the 996TT cars had just been delivered in the months prior.
I assume that Rennlist existed as an email listserve or something similar prior to May 2001. I joined Rennlist in June 2003 and basically it hasn't changed much sense then IIRC. Is there anyone out there from pre-May 2001 times that can share a little history?

I remember meeting the site starter and his wife at a 944 fest, he drove a 993 ... his name is eluding me at the moment, but yes it originally started as an email list serv and then grew to what you see today. The fact it hasn't changed in over 15 years since it's inception is probably what i like most about it!
