valentine one hardwire install
Hello,
Can anyone offer any information on installing a Valentine One hardwired in a 996TT, either with or without the remote/concealed display?
Thanks

Since no one else has answered you...
I hardwired a Valentine into my GTS. They make it very easy. You just need switched power and ground for the distribution hub. The detector and remote display just use standard phone cable to connect them so if you need a longer lengh, just get some at Radioshack. The phone line is thin enough to tuck under interior panels.

I have one hardwired in my 2002 TT. The detector is up on the windshield, and the wire runs in the same sheath that brings power to the mirror. The remote is down on the dash. The dealed did it at no cost upon delivery of my car, but did charge me $100 for a similar installation on my previous 964 C4. It's been great in both cars. AS

Thanks for the replies.
I have the wiring figured out but am still trying to find a good location for the remote display.
My TT has the PCM/NAV so there are no openings in the center console at all and I have not found a place up on the instrument cluster that seems to work.
Anyone worked thru this problem yet?
