I've used the one from griots and it's awesome, but to much for my blood. SO I use the driving up on 2x4's method

<strong>Thanks guys,

The AC DK20 appears to be the way to go. Unfortunately, no one local has them in stock, so I have to order it online. There appears to be quite a range of prices from $230 - $370 + $40 shipping.

Anyone suggest a better way to get it in the L.A. area?

I bought my AC jack (DK13LQ) from Kinesis Motorsports which is only about 60-70 minutes from LA. They also gave me a PCA discount, as they do for their wheels as well.

BTW there is usually a group buy on AC jackstands every few months on the 993 board (bought mine a few months back in one of the buys) and usually they'll get a competitive price for the jacks as well.

Do you think you guys (and everybody else that reads this) would want to do a group buy on the DK13HLQ?

It would be nice to get it under 400.

Just a thought.

I would do it on the DK20 or DK20Q, but the DK13 is a bit overkill for my needs.

Also, I just found an alumninum race jack at Costco. It is rated 3300#, which is less than the AC. However, it only weighs 34# compared to the AC DK20 weighing in at 64#. It is made in Taiwan, which is better than China but not as good as Denmark. It sells for $279. It comes with a 2 year warranty. Costco is known for not selling junk, so I'm not sure what to make of it.

I think that was the most poorly assembled paragraph I have ever written.

I can do better Trojan:

And Costco is not the place that has "cheap stuff"? I understand sometimes that they have good stuff for cheap though. 279 for a light jack? hmmm.

How about that for bad sentence structure?

The reason I was going for the bigger AC jack was because the cayenne guys can use that for thier new purchase as well. Like I said, we could get under 400 if we get enough - maybe 350?

The smaller jack just doesn't seem tolift nigh enough.

I have the jack that Aurnald mentioned. It is a great jack, very low. The downside is that if you haul it anywhere (I take it to the track with me) it is HEAVY...
