Post 99F Wing

Saw this in a mag, the online. I like it, and the price is nice. 1390 Euros, around $1400. Anybody know how to remove the OEM wing (top part) and make the bases stay up?

Dave

I like the wing, looks even better then the tech art. I always wonder about aftermarket aerodynamic kits, that haven't been through a wind-tunnel. I would hate to get a rear wing that produced lift instead of downforce

at over 170mph, standard wings i learnt are very well studied to produce downforce to prevent car from acting itself like a wing..

be-ware!

Those wheels...mmm..

Anyway, I know CJV did some wind tunnel testing on the body work he ended up with...I think it was the Tecart stuff.

I would be VERY surprised if 9FF didn't put that wing through a wind tunnel. They are a very well respected tuner in Germany.

Personally, I like the Ruf R Turbo wing.

Dave, I would guess that 9ff would supply the instructions if you bought one. Email them, use a web translation.
I can email you removal instructions and pictures from the manual if you like. It looks like a special wrench is needed. As far as keeping them up, it must be a matter of pulling the relay and bridging the spoiler failure circuit.

Actually, wilber told me that after you raise the wing with the button on the dash, you can pull the fuse from the motor to keep it up at all times...

I think that the spoiler failure light will stay on if you just pull the fuse. Easy enough to try.......

Question

Super looking wing! Has anyone gone forward with an installation in the US? Was it a positive experience, and was 9ff easy to work with?

Thanks

Dear Fred,

sorry to let you wait so long. I was on a buisiness trip in asia for the
last week. As you know 9ff is a new brand for Porsche high tech tuning. At
the moment we are working on our worldwide dealernet. From the beginning of
next week we will have a dealer for US to make the handling for all of us
easier. He will contact you as soon as possible.

Thank you very much for your understanding and your interest in our
products.

If you have any more technical questions please do not hesitate to call me
under 0049 231 9 678 911.

The 9ff wing gives your car more downforce and it is electrical
high-adjustable like the original one. You can be sure to have the 9ff wing
for your race at the end of Feb.

Best regards,

JAN
