WOOOW!!
Congrats to cjv on exceptional rwhp!!(I want some)
Bill,
Man you are fast. My analysis suggests an easy launch, 0-60ft in ~2.6sec but a trap speed in the 1/4 of at least 128.5mph. At 3500lb this suggests 580 hp at the rear wheels!! Also with a 'dramatic' start you should see 0-200kph in the high 10's. PLEASE tell me how you are that fast? I'm sorry but I do NOT believe your claim of 490HP --- sorry.

cjv,
Good work. Looking forward to your AP-22 runs!
rmrmd1956,
Be careful with HP calculations. The 520 HP (only!) Ruf CTR2 is even a bit faster. However, I know the times are accurate. They match my speedo videos and many "stop-watch" timings. Also, 128 MPH 1/4-mile times have been recorded at the track by other owners with soft starts (my shifts are about .5 seconds).
I think the main thing about the Ruf cars is that they stay within the maximum torque curve almost all the time when shifting at 6800 RPM, with imperceptible turbo lag at the shifts. Like Ruf, I'm a bit uneasy quoting HP or TQ. Rather, let the car's performance speak for itself.

@cjv congratulations. how much boost did you runing?
@billS your AP must have a parameter a little of thats why your HP is always increase with high speed.
I think it reads to high mph and this gives you to high HP numbers. have you checked the speedo with a GPS and the same time check the speed that the AP22 gives you. you can comnpare both and see if it is right.

Whilst the Ruf turbo R actually peaks at more like 540hp, it is the area under the power curve which can make a tt so fast on the road. For example my motor puts out over 500hp between 4750rpm and 6750rpm. It is this breadth (which in fact means high torque at 4750rpm) which gives the acceleration, not exclusively a massive peak power figure.

Konstantin,
I haven't yet entered my vehicle parameters into the AP-22, so the power measurements will not be correct. However, the time, distance and speed figures are within 1% of my speedometer readings done via video inspection at 30 frames/sec.

Congrats, Chad. <img border="0" alt="[thumbsup]" title="" src="graemlins/bigok.gif" />
Look forward to seeing you and your HP monster up in Monterey in August. Thanks for sharing your exploits -- your advice and experiences have been very helpful to a many of us.
Happy motoring! <img border="0" alt="[cheers]" title="" src="graemlins/beerchug.gif" />

1. His 911 Turbo produces an astounding 720hp at the flywheel with massive torque to go along with it.

3. He has funded the R&D on so many go-fast parts for the community as a whole.
4. He has consistently reported back the results, good or bad, on the parts that he has dreamt or thought up.
5. Even taking sideswipes from many people at the beginning, he has provided the community with a tremendous resource, from beginning to end.
Bravo Chad!!! One day, I hope to have a 720hp car!!!
