Hey Bill, hope it is just something minor/dumb etc. The altitude factor can cause us some problems here in Denver.
Good to meet you the other day at the car meet!

This sounds like an altitude problem that just needs a little tweaking to fix. No big deal. Once the car put down that power to the wheels everything is history. Good luck.

Thanks guys...yeah, me thinks it is just a little fine tuning also. If it really was a throttle body shutdown...this things is going to be scary fast. JP...nice to meet you as well. Seems the best thing about those car shows is meeting the great folks who own these wonderful cars...met Eric (Sandoval) as well...great bunch of guys! I'll keep you posted on what we figure out...especially for my high altitude friends.

ask Kevin if he can bypass the TB shut down.... either with a MBC to controll the spikes or via a diode.

that sucks, what happens when you want to drive into a different altitude. shouldn't have to "tune" for altitude. isn't that what the adaptive type ECU suppose to do? Adapt to differing types of climes. I could see tuning for timing and fuel but for altitude? Please learn me.

OAK, I must admit that we are "learning" ourselves right now. Perhaps what we learn will be of benefit to all. The good news is that both Kevin and my mechanic are working with me on this. I'll keep you posted. (BTW...it did suck when it happened!)

Oak, I posted earlier that the settings or preload is not stock. If I left it at stock adjustment the throttle-body would not have slammed shut. I have discussed this with Bill, and that a fine adjustment could be needed. With this system I have the ability to control the boost to the levels that the customer wants. The Stage 2 turbochargers can sustain 1.3-1.4bars of boost. Clearly enough to trip the throttle-body.

For a customer that has this kit at sea-level you will see a sustained 1.1-1.2bars boost level. Going to that elevation to ski or drive thru will make it thru. In the event that a CEL is thrown, one can shut the engine off, and reload the factory program that is in the programmer.

Before we jump to any conclusions with Bill's ECU, we have yet to rule out any boost leaks..
