Weight loss program??

Weight loss program??
I know this is a high hp car but anyway to loose any significant weight on the car? And what would be considered "significant"???
I'm going to GT3 seats, I assume this is a loss. No muffler, another loss.
Anyone have any experience with a light weight battery? How much weight loss and does it upset the corner balance of the car? Is it a problem with holding a charge??
Rear seats out (but roll bar in).
Remove spare? heard good and bad but is it ok and how much more would you loose?
Front hood to carbon fiber (much weight off, only body panel I was thinking about.)
And oh yes from the GT3 forum I could take out the sun visors!! Gotta tell ya those GT3 guys know how to loose weight!!
How and where to take out unnecessary insulation.
Could everyone give me one good idea and how much they think it would save!!
TIA

lol... I'm with Tom.. love the turbo and would be awesome to lighten it and whoop up on the lighties on the twisties
on a DE I was on the butts of some miatas at the corners.. granted it's mostly coz they were more newb than myself, but it would feel great to do well in something 996Turbos aren't supposed to be

Tom,
This is a question I have pondered often. But, as you know, the best answers will change your car from a street car to a track car.
Weight up high is the worst enemy, so the sunroof and components should become a lightweight panel. The rear window should become plexi. To me, the spare is a no brainer, but those who feel it's structural will say I have no brain.
The battery and AC come next. If you go tiny, there may be 20 lbs in the battery alone. More in the AC and components. If you go too small, you won't be able to run the accessories. See the current excellence for a 944 owner's approach.
I seem to recall 25+ lbs in the Ac, but that seems too little when you add in all the components.
The entirety of the rear interior is not much weight- maybe 15 lbs.
Switching out the awd seems to save another 150.
I think others have had trouble with paint match on the CF hood, and quality has been marginal.
I don't think I would do it, as you totally devalue your car. The battery and taking out the spare are the easiest. Removal of the ac compressor is at least easly un-doable, but will make it tough to drive to the track where you live. It seems simpler to just trade to a GT2.
Why not just buy somebody's dedicated race car(unless it's "been there, done that")? The Cayanne will certainly tow it. I don't think I would get an Exige. There is a new Lotus track car coming that will be down around 1200 lbs. Ultimately, they will probably also supercharge the Toyota, and that combo would be enticing.
As much as I love my X50, I just thought it was the wrong platform, so I just track other cars. AS

I like your idea, Turbo is a bit too heavy for the track... Just got back from Nürburgring and they had some NICE lightweight Porsches there at the track...
Get some lightweight CF body parts.
From Manthey:
Hood - saves 10 kg
Race door set - saves 50 kg (get a cage and no comfort features on the doors)
Door set with comfort features - saves 6,4 kg per door
Plexi glass windows - saves 1 kg + 1,6 kg + 2,6 kg so total 5,2 kg
Race mirrors - saves 1,2 kg
Rear lid/winf - saves 9 kg
Lightweight 18" wheels - only 7,3 kg per wheel
Or just get their own body kit. It's 10 cm wider and tested at Nürburgring, Le Mans 24h and of course in wind tunnel, saves 63 kg
