I am about to have some some work done on my car and while it's in the shop, I would like to do everything for the year at once. I have been contemplating installing the X73 hard motor mounts, but am not sure if they are compatable with the PSS-9 suspension. Has anyone done this and if so, what were the results?

Thanks, Dock. That's what I thought. I am pretty sure I am going to give them a try. Do you know if they are sold separately and if any dealer stocks these? My car is going in next week, so I need them quickly.

I don't know about U.S. availability (I got mine as part of the X73 package) - your dealer might be able to order them. Or you could check with Sunset Imports and/or Suncoast Porsche.

Dock,
Thanks, I'll see what I can come up with tomorrow.

John, please give us your feedback on these. I have seen them around and they look like a reasonable performance "tweak". The only thing I was worried about was transmitting vibration through the car......keep us informed dude!

Garey,
I have the same concern, but decided to go forward and see for myself. I'll let you know, but it will be a couple of weeks.

Don't worry about vibration or increased sound. Mine came with the X-73 and I installed them about a week before the suspension was installed so I could see the difference just the mounts made. Everything simply feels a bit more connected. No downsides at all as far as I'm concerned.

Garey,
Here is the feedback - the car was out of my hands for 2 weeks undergoing a few upgrades. I can not notice any increased vibration or noise - or if I can, it is extremely slight. Driving feels a little more "connected" in terms of shifting, cornering and throttle response (the throttle response could be the hybrid turbos, ported headers and associated software upgrade). Overall - the car seems a bit more precise...seems to be another step in the right direction. Definitely nothing to worry about in terms of excessive noise/vibration...I have been trying to feel and hear additional noise/vibration and I am hard pressed to isolate it, but the car does feel tighter.
I think Dr T's post above sums it up best. Hope this helps....
