Personally, I'd rather give it the GT2 dressing & just reflash it with a nice exhaust...I even like the optional dual/round tips.

That is where I tell most to start. The nice thing is you can add to that as you go. 600 is a nice number at peak crank, but honestly start out with an additional 75-90HP. You will be thrilled not only with the added power, but where you get it. Everyone gets caught up in the HP game. What I love to tell people is the low end drivability and the improvement. This is where the fun factor is. From there it is a bonus. Start small and trade up and move up as you need to!!!

Also I think you asked what is safe. 550RWHP is ok. That is different than AWHP.

Im in the process of upgrading to GT700 pkg - I have IA 600 in now. It dynoed at 510/584 on 100 octane and 506/569 on 91 octane. I have the hybrids in mine with very little mileage. PM me if you are interested in the turbos if Steve is willing to work with you on the tune, etc...

are ur turbos k16 hybrids or k24 hybrids... I thought the satge 4 IA is k24 based.
I know someone thats interested in k24s...
not to pick on anyone.... but 510 on race gas(assuming rear wheel) x 12.5 correction factor equals only 573 crank HP...
when I went with mine, I also did not hit the #s I was supposed to... but it was a different tuner... ohh well.

They are k16 hybrids. I always figured 15% loss through drivetrain instead of 12.5% like you did which with that math it would be right at about 605hp. Maybe I was more optimistic!

I thought they were k24 based... maybe Im wrong...
well, evoms the manufacturer of ur set up.. IA the dealer/tuner as well..... says this.. so I always go off off of a 12.5% and Im not picking about 25 HP.... the TQ is there and its great...

How to calculate engine numbers: On a 996TT, the calculation for wheel horsepower (WHP) to engine horsepower (EHP) is about 12-15%. For our calculations, we use the 12.5% which is a very conservative figure. To calculate EHP, simply multiply the WHP by 12.5%. For example: if the car produces 500 WHP x 12.5% = 562 EHP [return to top]

I really think its a k24 based turbo.... the k16 hybrid cant produce those numbers... unless the turbo is C&Ceed to k24 specs.... and thats very possible...

I'll find out - I might have written down the info wrong - it was about 10mo ago. If they are k24 based then I'll see if your guy wants to buy them then. Thanks!

My buddy down the street just built a TT viper from my other buddy' in the first buddy's complex: made 850-ish/1100-ish @ only 4500-ish rpm before ignition issues shut down the run. Gonna make some power! They expect 1300-ish to the ground. Anyone heard of "SW"?

Of course anyone that owns a Viper knows SW. You're his neighbor.
