When I let off the gas I hear a pretty loud 'swooshing' air flow sound. Dealer said it is the diverters letting out boost and said it is nothing to worry about.

I never heard this noise on my TT coupe. Could be because I have the top down?

I have a chip & filter, and, brand new diverter valves.

Thoughts?

Do you hear the sound if you come off-throttle with no boost indicated?

 

Yes, exactly, when I come off the throttle is when I hear the sound.

 

I hear boost being vented when I come sharply off-throttle after accelerating hard under boost, but not otherwise.

 

Mine kind of do a dweeep sound when I get on it hard under boost like dock (love the sound). Do you have the stock DVs?, cause they've been known to go bad.

 

No, I hear the sound even after a middle of the road accel (shift point 4k or so). I have new aftermarket diverters, but, they didn't help matters with the 'swoosjing' air sound.

Now, I barely heard the noise with the top up...
