I paid $215 (that includes all of the 'extras'....hazardous waste, shop supplies, taxes, etc). It was $197 before all of that.

What if you bring in your own oil? Maybe get that at Costco...or cheaper?

I have an independent do mine...~$90 I supply the oil.

Learn to do it yourself. $20 for the filter wrench, $20 for the filter, $50 for the oil. Its a very easy 30- 40 minute job. No way would I pay someone $200 plus to change my oil.

The dealer cost is "around" $200, they consider it a minor service. It cant be done much cheaper at independant shops or of course by yourself if you are so inclined.

Was just quoted $99 from an indy.....I don't take my car to a dealer unless its a problem I can't diagnose myself.

Count yourselves lucky, here in the UK your looking at $700 (your monies) for a minor service (basically oil change) but just do it to get service stamp.

My first two oil changes were done by the dealer at about $250. When I did the next one myself, I noticed that the turbo plugs were never taken out to drain the oil!!!!!!

Bingo. I just did mine this past weekend. It was surprisingly VERY easy.
