Default Nice run/stock internals

CONGRATS to PROTOMOTIVE !!

In case you haven't read on 6-speed, a fellow 2001 996TT owner
sent his car down to Todd @ Protomotive (who is now in Arkansas).

Car is an 2001 6-speed (now with 2 wheel drive), STOCK INTERNALS,
and here is what he did first time at the drag strip:

10.76 @ 135.5 MPH !!!!!!!!!!!!!! (1.3 max boost)

H*@Y S+#T !! Nothing more needs to be said,
this guy (Todd and his wife) know how to make air flow thru this
motor of ours!!
Our neighbor (in Chicago) is also having Protomotive "tune up"
his car (MARKSKI), he is going even deeper than Diveextreme...
should be fun,

Marty K

Default Protomotive 996TT hits the dragstrip...

Marksi can answer better than I but here it goes:
Protomotive intercoolers (Todd makes them himself)
Protomtotive intake (see picture above)
K-24 based (proprietary) turbos
Customer supplied exhaust
Protomotive custom programming (1.3 bar for 1/4 mile run)
some kind of fuel pressure regulator
MAF ??? I dont know
My experience with people that Todd has built stuff for is that
He would not do things that would grenade a motor.
Did anyone notice how badly this kills ANY of the other "kits"??

Quite a set-up I would say and obviously utilizes alot of torque early
in the curve to move down the "quarter like that".
Great stuff I would say.
BTW, Todd has alot more potent packages than this and Markski
will soon have his !!

the video of this run did not look like he was going that fast, until you see the time board. Car was pretty quiet too. Where has the air filter gone to? Very impressive drive from the old TT.

scott has injectors and fuel system upgrade as well. its really nice casue It runs like my 650 rwhp evo 8.... uses a greddy boost cotroller to controll the wastegates.... nice.... unlike the usual ecus that control everything....
those r k24 hybrids and the intercoolers were actually supplied by me.... todd did the end tanks .
he also has the sach RS stage 3 clutch... I had that one as well.... very nice....
all stock internals....
