K16 and K24 Sport Headers
We were doing a stage IV GT2 today and installing the EVO K24 headers (which are a breeze to install btw) but a few of you with K16 cars wanted to see the K16 headers as well as the K24 headers so here they are. This is my last set for a week or so hence I'm saying good bye to 'em

Actually we do take those locally to a place to get that done but having tested out EGT's it really made very little if any difference even on my car I found heat wrap from thermotec to give slightly better results but then again in a climate where it rains a lot you don't want to do that

I find myself wondering why no aftermarket header manufacturers try insulating their
headers like Porsche does, with another layer of sheet metal, with a sealed air
gap between? I can imagine it's not easy to do, but if Porsche can mass-produce
them, and it makes enough difference for them to do so...

Hi Joe, it's a good question and not something I haven't brought up before.. but then again I end up just heat wrapping and/or coating them....

Alex, for those of us, modded but no internals and under 600hp what would your recommendation be for the headers. I will soon have the 100 cell fabspeed cats and straight pipes and the ECU flashed (not sure by who yet!) but will probably be around 500-550 hp and plan on staying there to major engine rebuild.
I thought stock header was pretty good. Do you mod the stock header or do you know of something that would be better for my car as described above. I love exhaust modds if they actually do something!!! I dont care what they look like they are under a car that is lowered.....duh!!
Give us some suggestions and then I'll call ya!!!!
TIA

Tom, with that power range mod the stock headers.. Not to take any sales away from Alex, but the stock short tube headers will spool the K24 sooner. Sooner boost equals more torque/power under the curve.. Now if you are in the 750-800HP range that is a different story..
