Default How much HP is enough for 996tt?

Answer this question.

How much power do you think is appropriate for a 996tt?

I say 600-650.

I had my Emma (996TT) up at 620 BHP with about 570 lbs of torque and that was WAY MORE than I could handle... I'm now converting her to a RUF car...and telling the boys at Weissach to keep it under 600...

I think for competition, the sky's the limit...but for daily driving...600 is PLENTY GOOD

I think it depends on what you get used to and how badly you want that, I've never accelerated that fast, thrill.

I really like this GT700 kit it makes big power but still spools very quickly like stock. The problem above this power level is you end up with big turbo's with alot of lag.

I think anywhere from 600 to 750 is perfect!

If I had 1000 HP I'd probably be trying to figure out how to modify for 1100.

I would take as much as possible if I knew I could still drive it as hard and as often as I wanted without it needing to be flatbedded somewhere!!!

So for now my answer would be around 550 to 600 with stock internals.

550-575 REAL HORSES:
will give me the ability to Stomp on Vipers and new Zo6's
(I know it's Sophmoric), and really keep my need for speed satisfied.
So it looks like I am past the K-24's...

As designed/delivered is more than adequate.

As much power as can be had reliably.. sure you won't see much of a drop in 0-60 time because these cars (correct me if i'm wrong) and just not good for dragging..but the pulling power from highway rollons will blow you away. only problem then is u have 2 upgrade brakes, suspensions, saftey and driving ability to match.

sharky: I can tell ur car is stock just by lookin at it
