GT700 Road Trip!
Just picked up my tt from EVO in Arizona with a new GT700 kit installed. It put down 644 rwhp and 640 rwtq on race gas and 630 rwhp on pump gas.
Drove 1925 miles back to Michigan averaging 77 mph and 26 mpg!
Zero tickets!
This thing is a rocket and much less laggy than my stage 5 kit.

Buddy,
Congrats, must have been a good ride back to East GR! and no tickets??
what about the dreaded most feared of all, Northern Texas Highway?
Now,
Simple question: Do the new Turbos flow more lbs of air than the old ones?
(I understand that there is alot more to less lag than the turbos themselves)
Good luck,
Marty K

I drove through Northern Texas so slow Nuns driving Church buses were passing me!
I wanted no reason for the boys in blue to pull me over!
As far as air flow through the turbo's someone else would have to answer that question. All I know is the car is wicked fast with very little lag.

BUDDY,
JUST CURIOUS AS TO WHY YOU SWITCHED DOWN IN POWER FROM A GT 750 TO A GT 700? ISN'T THAT A LOSS IN POWER?IS THE CAR FASTER OR SLOWER NOW? IS IT BECAUSE OF THE TURBO LAG WITH THE BIGGER TURBOS OF THE 750 KIT? DID TODD SUGGEST THE CHANGE?BTW IHAVE A2003 TT WITH THE 700 KIT AND MODDED Y PIPE AND 75MM PLENUM/TB.WAS THINKING ABOUT SWITCHING TO THE 750 WHEN I HAD THE GT640 BUT TODD ADVISED ME TO GO WITH THE 700.FOR SOME REASON IT SEEMS THE 700 IS FASTER AND MAKES MORE POWER THAN THE 750 WHEN I LOOK AT THE EVO WEBSITE.

My car was a Stage 5 which preceded all the GT kits. It had a large Garrett T04 turbo which made great power but has alot of lag. This new kit GT700 actually dyno'd about the same
as my Stage 5 but is very quick to spool. I love it!
