I am always amazed when I see Oak with a sense of humor! I swear it is going to give me a heart attack. Yes, the supersport is a bit loud, the moderate is fine. Proof, my 6 year old, my 3 year old and my wife drove to Dallas last year and they slept most of the way. Hmm, turn yer hearing aid down sir LOL>

On my 911 Ruf I just swear by the Fabspeed. I have used the Millemiglia, B&B and Ruf(Dansk) mufflers before and nothing comes close. The rest were all 2.75 inch inside bore but the Fabspeed is a true 3inch strt thru. You can feel the difference strt away midrange upwards. It sounds better too, deep growl, lighter, has a thicker flange which bolts onto the turbo. It's just plus plus all the way.

I have a friend driving the IA Stage 4 996tt here with the Fabspeed. I can hear him comming from quite a ditance with my windows up. He took me for a ride once and there was no resonance and it sounded great.

IMO the Fabspeed muffler match the more expensive muffers from Cargraphic or what might have you but at a fraction of a price so why not. Why pay so much extra and even if the other mufflers were better than the Fabspeed, by how much? Are those few extra horses worth the extra money you got to pay? That too I doubt they are any better. JMO.

Hope the above info helps.

Didn't Fabspeed beat all comers in a dyno showdown on one of the TT boards? Fabspeed makes good stuff.

the fabspeed is awesome. It is the best mod I ever made to my TT. The 996TT comes with the worst stock exhaust note I've ever heard. It sounds like a sedan. The loud version does resonate around 2600-3200 but who cares?

It gives the car such a nice low growl, and at WOT its flat out screaming. Why pay 3-4 grand for something that barely alters the sound of the exhaust?
