Default 996 Turbo/Front aerokit spoiler scrapes ground

Hi Just bought a 2004 911 Turbo with Aerokit. It is slate gray and loaded with only 2200 miles.

The aero kit is great, but the front spoiler always scrapes the ground when going uphill or down steep inclines like San Francisco.

Any options? Should or can I remove it?

Thanks

Approach all inclines at an angle.

That's your only option... You just get in the habit of doing this after a while.

The aerokit lip is actually a pretty sturdy unit. It will take much more than the occasional scraping to damage it.

All the cars I know of are nose scrapers. Particularly if they've been lowered. If yours has been lowered you can look to get it raised sllightly. But other than that, drive at anges and be aware that your proboscis is out there being ground away.

Man that sounds like it would hurt. Mine scrapes now and then and I actually have to really be careful on back-roads and some intersections. But I love the lowered look!

Angle in and out plaza is the only way. Some people change from normal turbo lip to C4S lip for more clearance. If you really can't deal with it. Take it off and sell it to me! I'm looking for Aero lip!!

Hit a piece of truck tire on the highway center lines while passing. Angle of car in front was such that I couldn't see it until I pulled out, then thump-thump. Didn't break it but it is know hanging down. I have to figure out how to get it back on the brackets up front. Not to hijack the thread, but does anyone have some pointers?
regards,
Steve
