Default Speedometer 996 turbo

I have a 2001 911 TURBO and i think at one time i could change the MPH with the onboard computer so that it could be seen at the bottom of the Tach. Am i right of wrong? I called Porsche today and they told me that it was not suppose to change to the Tach. It will change to MPH on the Tach but the MPH is way off from the Speed shown on the speedometer. I am talking about the bottom of Tach where you can show Temp Bar and ect.
Thanks For any advice on this.

Yes, you should be able to change to veiw this readout at the bottom area (small screen below the tach). I have mine to show temp on the top and bar on the bottom. I can also scroll through the rest if I am interested in mpg, how many miles I have left, average speed.... I think it's under set and then display.

Mine is only 2 mph different.
Which is more accurate, analog or digital?

I don't think actual road speed can be selected in the tach.
This is a flaw as the analog speedo is next to useless and the digital reading in the speedo would be easier to read if it were bigger and in the line of sight in the tach.

It can't be on my model year...not sure about 01. Of course who cares about reading the speed...all you need is the tach and boost pressure.

I don't believe speed can be displayed on the tach.

Will you be at Oktoberfest on Saturday (near Raleigh)? We need a strong showing in front of those other German marques!
