all of the pictures reveal an exhaust which is quite different from stock. most will not be unable to diy.
the outer exhaust of the 9ff muffler is a wastegate exhaust with the gate located well clear of the turbocharger, while the stock (and all of the modified) exhausts utilize an internal wastegate which is located within the hot housing just posterior to the exhaust turbine. this is a significant change as, when open at high boost pressures, the internal wastegate must cause flow disturbances.

What you are confusing as a "wastgate" is in fact the flow control VALVE.
This vacuum actuated valve directs flow through the outboard tip when in the open position and through the inboard tip when in the closed position. The wastegate is integral to the turbocharger itself - it functions to prevent "overboost"
The outer tip takes flow directly from the cats and straight out the tip
Yes, the exhaust weighs 40lbs.
When in the open/loud position there is NO resonance when cruising at speed.
Of course in the closed position....there is no resonance!!
This is the best exhaust on the market. It offers a great blend of features.
Adjustable sound control.
20lbs weight saving
Amazing sound(s)
26-31HP gain (on stock turbos)
Excellent, handmade and durable craftmanship
TUV approved
Includes beautiful integrated tips
the initial introductory price was $5900. This price was an intro (and was way too low) as these initial ones were prototypes of the gen2 9ff exhuast. It is now in full production and as a result the intro price is gone gone gone.
p.s. There is no DIY w/ 9ff products. Yes they are complex and the result of long hours of testing and engineering. We only allow installation by approved eurocar/9ff installers/dealers. A quality product deserves(demands) quality installation.
