Smile New Dynojet AWD in Midwest (Ohio)

Just wanted to let everyone know that Switer Performance Innovation has a new Dynojet All Wheel Dyno. They are also a Evolution Motorsports Dealer with the flash downloader. The facility is awesome and the people are great! Finally I can dyno my 996TT in AWD.

Don't put your car on the Dynojet without dropping the Driveshaft. Porsche ONLY authorizes mechanically linked Dyno's.. The only safe unit that I'd use is a Mustang...

Doesn't that only apply to tiptronic turbos? I thought 6-speed cars were okay.

Tippys and 6speeds share the same front wheel drive hardware! Look the 993TT have a viscous coupling in the tranny nose cone. There have been 2 recent failure with 4X Dynojet adventures, the 996TT has moved the mechanism into the front diff. What happens is as good as it tries to keep a constant load and speed it just can't. The front diff heats up and "lights out"

I have received a few email about those who have done this and are concerned.. The ABS and PSM lights come on due to the speed differential that occurs. To see if your diff is okay. You need to jack your car up and in gear (engine off) turn the rear wheels, the fronts better turn!!! Sharkster has a awesome video with a front diff (his diff) letting loose on the 4X dyno...

I'm not bashing Dynojet.. I am not endorsing Mustang.. But is is the only dyno that I will run a 993TT and 996TT on without droping the driveshaft..

ENZO_ETR,

Do you have your car back from Evo?

Will you post a report on it?

i was just at Evolution Motorsports on Tuesday, July 19th. We are still waiting for the new intercoolers. The current intercoolers wont let the boost go above 25 - 26 psi. We are expecting to run anywhere between 32 to 35 psi. Anyways at 25 to 26 psi of boost, it made 840 rwhp. I think it will make between 950 to 1000 rwhp when we get the boost issue resolved. I will post the dyno run video soon.
